How we work

We’re trying to be your roof guy.
You’ve probably got a guy for the car. Maybe one for HVAC, maybe one for the yard. Somebody you call without getting three quotes first, because they’ve told you the truth before, including the times it cost them the sale.
No one really has that for their roof. Roofing sells one large job every twenty years, so most of the industry is built to show up, replace it, and drive off. Nobody in that arrangement has any reason to know your house.
We’d rather know your house.

A roof that gets kept up makes its rated life.

Gutters that flow, pipe boots replaced before they split, flashing that's still sealed, an attic that breathes. That roof gets its twenty five years. The one nobody touched for a decade gets eighteen, and the five figure check shows up years before it had to.

So we'd rather you spent less.

Across the twenty years we'd like to be your roofer, the cheapest version for you is a lot of small visits and one replacement at the end. That's the version we're built for. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

That means advice, including the kind that costs us work.

Sometimes what you'll hear from us is that the streaks are cosmetic, the six missing tabs are six missing tabs, and the roof has eight good years left. The best job we do all year is the one we talked somebody out of. Do I need a repair or a full replacement?

A friendly guy with a helper, up on your roof, taking pictures of everything.

You get 30 to 40 photos, because you can't see your own roof and you shouldn't have to take anybody's word about it.

A person answers the phone.

Not a robot, not a phone tree, and we don't use AI to answer calls. Our crews call ahead when they leave the previous job so you're not sitting through a four hour window. Seven days a week, 7:30am to 8pm weekdays and 9am to 8pm weekends.

Actions over words.

We're not asking you to take any of this on faith. Spend $199, watch how we treat you, and decide from there. Once you spend a dollar with us, you're a customer. It's not a catastrophe if a shingle blows off, and nobody gets ragged over the coals.

Update 10/26: Had Hugo come out and perform the service. He did a great job, was very thorough, and explained what he did clearly. I will be requesting him in the future! Original review: The two roof technicians that came out to do a tune-up and gutter clean were both friendly and professional. They arrived on time, took pictures of all of their work, and were thorough in their evaluation. They provided a report afterwards of their assessment of the condition of the roof and gutters, and I was pleased to see that the report was accurate and a fair assessment (no attempt to upsell through false claims of issues - everything was reported in good condition). I look forward to using this service again in the future!

We contacted AROCON Roofing recently to get our roof inspected and gutter system cleaned. Hugo was our assigned roof technician and he was punctual, professional, and tidy while doing work. After he was done he thoroughly went over everything and provided recommendations for future maintenance on our roof. Overall I was very impressed by him and working with this company. I highly recommend this team for all your roofing needs!

Overall I was satisfied with the work that was outlined in the report for the $200 roof check. One downside was that the workers who showed up chose to park with one of their truck tires on my lawn. Not a huge deal but I did ask them to move the truck and they were polite in responding to my request immediately.

Who we serve and where

Homeowners, second home and rental owners, property managers, realtors, and commercial property owners across Maryland, Virginia, Delaware, Washington DC, Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Most owners we deal with already have a bench. Somebody for the cleaning, somebody for the yard, somebody for HVAC. The roof is usually the one nobody got around to, and it's the most expensive thing on the building.

  • Rental and second home owners. Nobody else you're paying is looking at that roof. Turnover crews work on a clock and aren't putting up a ladder, and a guest who spots a small stain on a ceiling finishes their week and leaves. We work around turnover days, we go out twice a year on a schedule, and the photo report comes to you wherever you live. Over a few years that folder settles a storm claim faster than an argument and answers the buyer's inspector when you sell. What owning a place at the shore takes to maintain
  • Realtors and listing agents. Deals don't usually die on a bad roof. They stall on a vague line in an inspection report that nobody can price. Get the roof documented before photos and you go into the transaction with a number or a clean photo set, instead of renegotiating on day nine of a thirty day contract. We'll also tell your seller when they don't need the replacement somebody quoted them, which is the part that makes us safe to refer. The pre-listing roof check
  • Property managers. One vendor who calls ahead, shows up in the window, and hands you documentation you can forward to an owner without rewriting it. We'd rather flag a pipe boot in October than get called about a ceiling in February.
  • Homeowners. One call, no sales process, and a tech who's been on your roof before and knows what he found last time.
  • Commercial property. Work planned around a building that can't stop operating, and a condition report you can budget against instead of a capital surprise.

If you're the person responsible for a building you're not standing in, that's most of what we do.

The Maryland and Delaware coast

Ocean City end to end, Ocean Pines, West Ocean City, Berlin, Bishopville, and up the Delaware side through Fenwick Island, Bethany, Dewey, Rehoboth Beach and Lewes.

A roof at the beach isn't the same job as one inland. Wind and salt off the water, rain that moves sideways instead of down, and long humid months mean a coastal roof ages faster than the same roof 60 miles west. A lot of those houses also sit empty eight months a year, so nobody's inside when something starts to go. Coastal roofing on the Maryland and Delaware shore

Our crews

There's no shortage of roofs. There's a shortage of people who know how to do them right.

Most of the industry treats roofing as the job somebody takes until something better comes along, so it staffs up for the season, burns through people, and starts over in the spring. Then the work shows it. Houses go up fast, details get skipped, and somebody comes back around in a few years to redo the same thing.

Places with a real tradesman system don't work that way, and that's the side of it we'd rather be on. That means training people up instead of renting them. Somebody starts out carrying shingles and running the blower, learns what a soft spot feels like under his boot and what a stain on decking means, and a few years later he's the one running the crew and calling ahead from the truck.

Trade work is a career, and it pays like one. We'd like a lot more of it built right here.
